Business League Bowls at Mooi River Country Club
In some cases players had never held a bowl prior to the evening’s game. Advice was freely given by both players and spectators
The annual Business League Bowls tournament got off to a good start at the Mooi River Country Club on Friday, January 17.
The tournament runs over six weeks.
The 12 teams of three players per team are divided into two sections, each of six teams. The teams play in a round robin competition for five weeks. The final week sees the finals between the two sections. Amid much laughter and enthusiasm 12 ends were played. In some cases players had never held a bowl prior to the evening’s game.
Advice was freely given by both players and spectators.
A number of teams wore company colours. Once the game was over, everyone enjoyed burgers and chips from the Mooi River Country Club kitchen.
Analysing the game and strategy for next week continued late into the night.
