Goals galore at colourful tourney
At half-time, teams met on the field for a coloured powder 'war'.
Wii Unfit came out trumps at Saturday’s five-a-side hockey tournament.
The Dundee-based side fended off fellow Dundonians in The sexiest team alive, and local hockey teams, Vicious and Delicious and Project D to take the overall prize.
Wii Unfit were then challenged to a fun game against the Newcastle Hockey Club committee.
Organisers of the competition said although the match was hard-fought, the committee maintained a comfortable two-nil lead to win.
Prizes were also awarded to the following teams:
Most social team – Weg’es; best dressed teams – Wii Unfit and Project D; rainbow nation team – Candice’s Allstars; youngest team of the day – The Benchwarmers; and most goals scored in one game went to Vicious and Delicious, with 13.
“We would like to thank all the teams that joined us, it was a great turn out. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the day and who sponsored prizes and otherwise,” said committee member, Candice Bond.
