Thirty-two very competitive mixed pairs bowls teams from all over northern KZN graced our Dundee Bowling Club greens. After three hard-fought rounds on Saturday, eight teams qualified for the playoffs on Sunday. It was an all-Vryheid affair, with Hogart Gevers and Lorraine Vincent (stand-in for Hanna) playing in the final against John Douthwaite and Noela Dreyer, who ended up as the ultimate winners.

After four out of eleven games in the LRA Business League the positions are as follows: Dolf’s Eventide Mews 6+16; Danie’s Amabutho Warrior Lodge 6+9; Anthon’s Harcourts 5+8; Kevern’s Forbes Coal 4+10; Paul’s Paul Coetser Brokers 4+5; Angus’s Vemore/NEMS 4+1; Mike’s Moths 4; Carl’s Acutt & Worthington 4-3; Braam’s Botes Blocks 4-9; Michael’s NEMS 3-6; Martinique’s Vlokkens 2-6; Sylvia and Cornie’s Malans 2-23 – they are tendering for the stone! All welcome to join our festive bowls, music and
bring-and-braai.
