President beats vice-president on the greens
Those members who are participating are asked to remember to bring a plate of eats for tea
Wednesday’s Spar Twilight League got off to a wonderful start, with great excitement and lots of fun. New teams and new players are finding their way around the greens and their bowls. Elias demonstrated his ability by opening proceedings with the first bowl, getting everyone into the mood of things. Log positions this week are: 1. Hospice; 2. Computer Crazy; 3. Microsure. There’s lots more fun to look forward to!
Fatima Moola, Irene Ross and Janet Barnardo are to be congratulated on their Curry Evening, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all those who attended and set off the Valentine’s spirit.
Saturday afternoon saw the ‘President vs Vice’ competing on the greens, with teams in an open draw. It turned out to be in the president’s favour this year, quite conclusively. Well done to everyone – it was great fun!
This weekend sees the playing of the Midlands Men’s and Ladies’ Pairs Championships at the club, where there will be a good selection of excellent bowls. Those members who are participating are asked to remember to bring a plate of eats for tea.
Another date to diarise is March 2, which is the Fundraising Tournament for Midlands, to be held in Bergville. Don’t delay – get yourselves to the mountains for some super bowls.
