Volleyball club members persevere

"Although this was a free tournament, the participation was disappointing but nevertheless those who played enjoyed the afternoon and received trophies for entering."

A small number of volleyball players waited hopefully for more people to attend the social tournament that was held on Saturday at Forderville Primary School at 2pm.
But less than 20 people participated in the tournament. The aim of the tournament, hosted by Umtshezi Volleyball Association, was to attract school children and people who do not regularly play. “Although this was a free tournament, the participation was disappointing but nevertheless those who played enjoyed the afternoon and received trophies for entering,” said the association’s Chairman Kashen Naidoo. The tournament had to also be moved to the school after the volleyball association was notified on Wednesday that Lambert Park was unavailable for the tournament.
