Bowlers aim for bullseye

Upcoming events: March 22 and 29: Northerns Men's and Ladies' Pairs - entries on notice board.

The Dundee ladies were runners-up in the Northerns KZNBC Fours, which was won by  Ilva Zoepprits’s team from Vryheid. John Douthwaite’s team from Newcastle won  the Men’s Fours.
Darts evening: Even the wet greens, load-shedding and the  odd bit of negativity could not dampen the LRA darts and braai evening. Great  fun and laughter was had by all. The committee tried to keep the momentum of the  braai by adding a fun darts competition. The first round was won by Danie’s Amabutho team. The excitement grew, and a further two rounds were played, won by Braam’s Botes Blocks. In future, regardless of play cancelled by bad weather, alternative fun events will be arranged.
It is envisaged that the top six teams in the Business League will play against surrounding towns’ Business
Leagues in the final. This is done to sustain the viability of the bowls club.
All members’ participation is of utmost importance for the survival of bowls.
Business League positions are as follows: Danie’s Amabutho Lodge taken a strong lead of 12+30 from Dolf’s Eventide Mews (10+13), followed by Anthon’s Harcourts (9+19) in third place. The rest of the log sits as follows: Paul’s Paul Coetser Brokers 8-1, Michael’s NEMS 7+2, Braam’s Botes Blocks and Moths tied on 6-8, Angus’s Aviemore/NEMS 6-10, Carl’s Acutt & Worthington 6-17, Sylvia’s Malans 6-21, Kevern’s Forbes Coal 4-11, Vlokkens 4-13.
