The club would like to thank all the NG Kerk Suid members and volunteers for organising their golf day and hosting it at the Dundee Country Club.
Thanks also go to them for the half-way eats, braai afterward, watering hole and their sponsors. To all the players who took part in the competition: the wheelbarrow raffle was won by Jannie Potgieter, who donated it back to the church, and was bought by Richard Catlett. Bertie Venter bought the sheep.
The novelties were as follows: longest drive men – Billy Francis; ladies – Debbie Catlett. Nearest to pins were Walter du Plessis on No. 4; Silindo Khanyile on No. 8; Coenie Munro No. 12; and Mr Sithole on No. 16.
Bruce Meyer carded 11 points in the jackpot. The players that got their money’s worth: Jannie Potgieter and R Brockmann.
The winners were as follows: first Joe Khumalo and Sibusiso Sithole on 46 points; second Bruce Meyer and Mason Meyer on 45 points; third Gene Robson and Silindo Khanyile on 44 points, counted out from Zane Milne and Lionel Shaw, and Frikkie Bester and Coen Retief; sixth Sibusiso Mthembu and Sizwe Mthembu on 43 points; seventh Jan van der Merwe and Aaron Mbatha on 42 points, counted out from Bennie Oliver and Dannie van Zyl, and Mandla Mthethwa and Marc and Dolly Bradbury on 41 points.
Two-clubs were carded by Coenie, Frikkie, Mason, D Sithole, Willem Wentzel, Joe, Wonderboy and Danilo
Ceronio.
Friday’s nine-hole IPS meat competition was won by Renier Prinsloo on a good 25 points; second Walter du Plessis on a good 21 points.

St Patrick’s Golf Day – Please diarise March 21 for St Patrick’s Golf Day – tee-off at 11am. Shotgun start; 4-Ball Alliance;  half-way bangers and mash.
