On Friday, February 28 the annual Business League Bowls Competition played at the Mooi River Country Club drew to a close.
12 teams of three players per team are split into two sections.
With six teams per section, the competition runs as a round robin for five weeks. On the final night the winners of each section play against each other to determine the overall winner.
The overall winners were Mooi Vet Clinic who beat Farm Parts in the final.
All participants enjoyed the fun and laughter, which accompanied a lot of the shots.
Some of these shots were different from what one usually sees on a bowling green!
Many were effective in removing the opposition!
Any success was cheered loudly by both players and supporters. Different methods of measuring were employed on occasion – a belt did duty when needed!
Tabs-in bowls are played every Saturday afternoon starting at 1:30pm in summer and 1:15pm in winter.
