Little ones enjoy mini cricket at Settlers Park

Mini cricket is played every Saturday morning at Settlers Park, so come and join the fun

Children flocked to Settlers Park on Saturday morning to learn the finer points of the ‘gentleman’s game’.
Yes, it was mini cricket time again, with the coaches schooling the little ones on the art of batting, bowling and fielding.
The children started off with general exercises to keep the body fit, which is essential in the game of cricket. Once they were done with their exercises, they was divided into different teams and started to play. Screams of “How’s that’ were heard as wickets tumbled and balls raced to the boundary.
The heat did not seem to deter the little ones as they gave their all on the field, perhaps on the way to becoming tomorrow’s cricket stars playing for the national team.
