Brett claims golf crown

Friday’s meat competition was played over nine holes in an IPS format: the
winner was Dr Sifiso Kunene with 24 points, and second was Jurie Engelbrecht on 21 points, counted out from Dan Schotlz. Two-clubs were carded by Jurie Engelbrecht and Silindo Khanyile.
Thank you to all the players who took part in the Club Stroke Championships, and congratulations to the following:
A division winner Brett Meyer; runner-up Joe Khumalo; and A division nett Marc Nero.
B division winner Dr Sifiso Kunene; runner-up KP Smith; and B division nett Dr Blessing Chiwaya.
Ladies’ champion was Sandy Browning; runner-up Lorein de Wit; best nett was Debbie Catlett; C division (ladies’) winner was Lindi von Molendorff; and runner-up Dolly Bradbury.
There were 13 two-clubs carded over the weekend, and the jackpot winner was Phillipus de Waal.

Due to the Ladies’ Inter-Region being played on Saturday, April 5 and Sunday April 6, the following arrangements have been made for DCC golfing members:
Saturday – tee off no later than 8am; ladies have courtesy of golf course.
Sunday – tee off only from 11:30am; ladies have courtesy of golf course.
The club would like to thank you for your support and understanding during this event.
The special for Friday, April 4 will be lasagne, roll and salad for R30, so come and join us for a meal and a chance to stand to win R600. Remember: paid-up members only qualify for the money if membership number drawn. Just a reminder about the social round robin being played on Wednesday nights – R20.
On April 16, the Dundee Country Club will be hosting an Easter egg hunt. Cost is R80 per child – please book at the DCC (034 218 1000) before the April 11 to avoid disappointment. The Easter egg hunt will start at 4:30pm from the clubhouse.
