Farmers puncture Molls’ chances
The action promises to heat up this coming week as the semi-finals approach.

Molls were in the thick of things this weekend when they participated in another
cricket double header.
In their first game Molls took on Farmers in T20 action, but came up short in their quest for victory. Batting first Molls made 136/7. Cameron top scored with 46, and David made 26. Woesie was economical as always, taking 2/8, and Tienie took 2/41 as Farmers restricted Molls to a very gettable total. Farmers made light work of the chase, losing only two wickets in the process. Brilliant knocks by Jacques, who made 58 not out, and Peter, who scored 51 not out, took Farmers to 140/2. Wilfred took 1/12 and Cameron took 1/31 as Farmers won by eight wickets.In their second encounter Molls took on Mascor in another T20 game. Mascor batted first and made an impressive 178/9 from their allotted overs. Yusheer and Adhil both top scored with 34. Gavin took 2/20 and Daniel took 2/29 for Molls.
In reply Molls chased down the total with two overs to spare and seven wickets in hand. Cameron played a magnificent innings, making 96 not out, while Joff chipped in with 23. Shawn took 2/33 and Ali took 1/40 for Mascor, but it wasn’t enough to stop Molls picking up the victory. The action promises to heat up this coming week as the semi-finals approach. Mascor, Molls and Ace Eagles have all qualified so far. Farmers and Endumeni Development will go out all guns blazing as they hope to secure the last spot.
