Breakwaters seek impossible triple
While Itec Freespool seeks revenge for past encounters, Breakwaters aims to make history.

With the Grand Challenge on May 18, the curtain is closing on the angling season.
The Natal Freshwater Angling Association’s final competition came after the three-way tussle between Itec Freespool, Challengers and Docrat’s angling clubs.
Respectively, these teams were second, third and fourth place in the league.
The play-offs were a fiercely contested affair, considering the winner would advance to face Breakwaters Angling Club, which had already qualified by winning the league.
With the score margin a narrow affair, it was Freespool who reeled in the winner.
The team finished with a total of 42 points, followed by Challengers on 36 and Docrat’s on 31, marking a significant change from the usual Grand Challenge contest between Challengers and rivals, Breakwaters.
Instead, Breakwaters face an opponent utterly determined to salvage its pride and achieve the dream.
Itec Freespool finished second in the league to Breakwaters and was knocked out in the first round of the Knock Out competition by the same opposition, and is keen to exact vengeance.
Similarly, Breakwaters is intent on clinching a treble no club has achieved before.
Thus, the Grand Challenge will make for a fascinating contest, as two on-form teams lock horns.
