Thulani toils and triumphs at Two Oceans
Renowned for its scenic, yet gruelling route, Mr Duma says the Two Oceans was tough and windy but he rose to the occasion and finished the 56km in a time of 3hours 48 minutes
Thulani Duma faced a number of challenges before he ran the Two Oceans Ultra Marathon in Cape Town on April 19.
The bus he travelled on arrived late the day before and this, he says, gave his body minimum time to recover.
Renowned for its scenic, yet gruelling route, Mr Duma says the Two Oceans was tough and windy but he rose to the occasion and finished the 56km in a time of 3hours 48 minutes.
He was the third KwaZulu-Natal runner home, received a silver medal and won prize money for Team Prize under the banner of Nedbank Running Club.
“The Two Oceans was good preparation for the Comrades,” said Mr Duma.
“I would like to thank Imbabazane Municipality for their sponsorship of about R10 000. Thank you Mrs Strydom and Mr Siyabonga, God bless you,” he added.
