Sentraal show great spirit

They never gave up despite being 0-14 down

Sentraal did not spoil Dundee High School’s 130th anniversary party when they fought back to ensure a 14-14 draw against a tough Newcastle Highlanders side.

The rugby followed Dundee High’s sporting day against Ladysmith High, and there were plenty of ‘outside supporters’ curious to see how Sentraal is coping these days.

The first half was not very good at all for the local supporters, with the Highlanders scoring two converted tries to Sentraal’s nought.
However, the half-time team talk must have done wonders as Sentraal players rallied to show great fighting spirit.

Dolf Redelinghuys scored a try under the poles following a great move by the team. Shortly afterwards Oogies went over to level the score. Sentraal players’ smiles would have been even bigger if a last-gasp penalty had not drifted away from the upright.
