Mother and baby conquer Time Trials
There was plenty of competition in the ladies 3km running event.

2km Walk Ladies: 1st Vasanthee Naicker 17m17s; 2nd Shaida Soobramoney and “Baby” Reya Soobramoney 19m57s (P.B.)
2km Walk/Jog Ladies: 1st Luise van der Merwe 16m54s.
2km Walk/Jog Mens: 1st Kumlesan Soobramoney 16m13s.
2km Run Boys: 1st Susheshan Soobramoney 1m15s (P.B.).
3km Run Ladies: 1st Thobeka Mbatha 14m36s (P.B.), 2nd Jayrushka Massallia 16m35s, 3rd Thola Ntombela 18m04s, 4th Kholiwe Buthelezi 19m12s.
4km Run Mens: 1st Bongani Sabelo 13m47s, 2nd Joe Khumalo 13m53s, 3rd Thokozani Phungula 14m03s.
Vasanthee won the 2km ladies walk event in a good time. Shaida was in second place with an excellent personal best. Luise did well in the 2km ladies walk/jog event. Kumlesan did not do badly on debut and was very pleased to join the group.
Suhesan improved tremendously to smash his personal best time by over three minutes.
There was plenty of competition in the ladies 3km running event. Thobeka won this event in cracking time and set herself a new personal best record time. The main event was the mens 4km run which saw three fast athletes compete.
Bongani took the honours by edging out Joe to the finish, closely followed by Thokozani.
Please note that Time Trials takes place every Wednesday at 5pm in front of the Dundee Junior School on Excelsior Lane.
