NEWCASTLE – The Newcastle Legends wants elderly enthusiasts to join its ranks.

The club, exclusively for over-50s, has existed since 2013, and aims to encourage older players to keep fit and keep the ball rolling.

Players can also be part of an over 50s league.

This league includes legend teams from Chatsworth, KwaMashu, Tongaat, Durban, Umlazi and Pietermaritzburg.

“Newcastle Legends trains on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at the Paradise A grounds, and also at the Futsal courts,” explained spokesman, Rammy.
