Laurence, aged 15, joined the team this year.

“While I have never done this before, I find it really relaxing, especially when I take a shot,” he said.

While Laurence is still relatively new to the shooting world, his 13-year-old brother, is an old hand.

“I have been shooting almost my entire life, as I go hunting with my father.”

Both brothers find the thrill of setting their sights on a target exhilarating.

As they find the the sport both fun and relaxing, Laurence explained that shooting played a positive role in his and his brother’s lives.

“It helps a lot with concentration, as we have to focus on a small target.”

Laurence said the sport, taught him respect and patience.

“I have learned to take my time with things and not to rush into anything,” added Kyle.

The siblings have both recently received their KwaZulu-Natal colours for target shooting.

This is a big achievement, especially for Kyle who is still in primary school.

While some might think target shooting was easy, Laurence assured it was not as simple as it looked.
