Bowlers celebrate 70th Friedmann in great style

Rain showers throughout the weekend added to the wonderful spirit that this annual bowling tournament was played in. The Friedmann Cup winners was Dion Audie’s team from Durban. Phillip Scheepers’ team from Vryheid (last year’s winners) were second while Colin McDougal and team from Pietermaritzburg were third. The Battlefields ‘B’ team, finished fourth, making sure the locals were represented among the prize winners.

Glen Scorgie’s team from Amanzimtoti took home this trophy with last year’s winners, Ruan Victor’s team from Durban second. Errol Hudson’s team from Umhlali was third and fourth, Mike Freeman’s team.

Plate Winners
Dave Riley’s team from Durban won the plate while the Stone Last rock was handed to James Whitby’s team from Pietermaritzburg, The wine rack raffle was won by Mr T. The bowlers will soon be having a great wine party! Check notice board for upcoming festive season bowls events. Thursday sees the last round of Klus Civils Business League followed by prize giving and a braai.
