First Aquathon an outstanding success
Each participant received a certificate of completion as well as a sponsored prize.
NEWCASTLE – The first worldwide Aquathon took place on November 12 at the Swim Studio under the watchful eye of aqua instructor of 22 years, Camille Honiball.

The event saw 20 participants who undertook the three hour aquathon and emerged as champions. These aqua athletes range from ages 12 to 78 years old.
At 76, Beulah van Niekerk is among the longest standing aqua members as she has been doing aqua training for approximately 18 years.
Completing this three hour task each member received a certificate as well as a sponsored gift.
IT and Admin Manager of Swim Studio, Marinette Schoeman said: “They enjoyed it thoroughly and can’t wait for next year. This event will be held on the second Saturday of November annually, in aid of charity.”
This year the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) received the majority of votes to take home all entry fees.
