200 lady golfers to take on Dundee Golf course

There will be over 200 ladies from various golf clubs around the province taking part in this tournament, which runs from Thursday through to Saturday.
Saturday’s I.P.S. club competition saw Walter Du Plessis shooting a one over par round 72 to score 39 individual points, which included a birdie, birdie finish to beat Dolly Bradbury on a count out and claim first prize.
Marc Bradbury finished in third place on 38 points with Billy Francis in fourth place after scoring 37 points. Willie Maritz was the only player to record a 2 Club after sinking a mammoth putt on the 16th hole.
Friday’s 10 hole meat competition only attracted a handful of players with Pierre Booysen beating his father Henk on a count out after both players scored 22 points.
Golfers are reminded that members from The Pro Shop in Durban will be at the club from Wednesday for four days to assist players with their golf swing and using the right equipment.
The one-hour personal fitment session will cost R200 per player, however, each player will also receive over one hundred back in vouchers.
Interested players are to contact Dundee Pro Shop on 034 218 1000 to make their bookings for the one-hour fitment session.
The second Business League starts on Wednesday, November 1, with games being played every Wednesday afternoon at 4pm. The competition will run for seven weeks and the entry fee is R2000 for a team of four players. Businesses interested in taking part in the league can contact Barry Sandy on 076 822 5220.
All D.C.C. members are reminded that the 2017/18 club subscriptions were due by the end of September, and those members who have not yet paid are required to do so as soon as possible to avoid being listed as a defaulter
