Dundee Country Club’s major fund-raiser for the year, The Corporate Classic, takes place this Friday, November 24. There are almost 150 golfers competing in this year’s competition and players will be starting from as early as 7am. The Corporate Classic, now in its eighth year, attracts businesses from as far afield as Gauteng and Mpumalanga as the golfers not only enjoy a great day on the golf course but also have lunch and dinner provided as well as live entertainment in the evening.

This past Saturday saw the Sibongile Social Society hold their charity golf day, an I.P.S. format competition. Sifiso Kunene, who has found great form lately on the golf course, scored 41 individual points to win the competition. Second place went to the ever-improving lady golfer, Hlengiwe Hlongwane, who scored 39 points, with Robert Khumalo beating Dan Scholtz on a count out with 38 points to finish third and fourth respectively.
The novelty prizes for nearest the pin on the short holes went to: Dan Scholtz on the 4th, Churchill Maphanga on the 8th, Marc Bradbury on the 12th and Gene Robson on the 16th hole.
