Graham wins December Mug, Melton the Grand Prix
A reminder to all golfers, on December 16, we will host our next sponsored day, a betterball format

On Saturday Estcourt Golf Club hosted the final monthly mug of the year. This was a very important day for the players who were chasing the honors of being named the Grand Prix winner of 2017.
While all the focus was on the three contenders for the grand prix, Graham Smith snuck past and won his first ever mug on an impressive 65 nett. Melton Schiever came second on 66, getting 10 very important points in the grand prix.

This meant that Melton pipped Gordon Smith by two points to be crowned the 2017 Grand Prix winner. Tuppy Schiever won closest to the pin on the third but failed to sink the birdie which meant that the only two clubs on the day were Deejay on the 12th and Philip on the 16th.
Closest to hole two for two went to H Ismail, claiming the final spot in the shoot out for next year February. Bunn Hamman won the jackpot with an impressive 13 points. Our Friday competition was won by Warren Smith and on Wednesday, Deejay and Sam won.

A reminder to all golfers, on December 16, we will host our next sponsored day, a betterball format. Please support our sponsors Sam, Rishi, Shane and Naveen. To all golfers, it is very important to arrive early, which will ensure you tee-off on time.
Another speed up play tip for this week is: always hit a provisional ball if there is any doubt whatsoever that you might not find yours or suspect that it could have gone out of bounds.
