Dundee Angling Club: Sharks go through to finals

Members of the Dundee Angling Club fished the Third League at Grootdraai Dam, Standerton on November 12.
Results were as follows:
1. Dundee Sharks 51 points 2. Dundee Dolphins 45 points. 3. Kingfishers Azure 44 points. 4. Volksrust 33 points. 5. Kingfishers Sacrets 31 points and 6. Dundee Minos 4 points.
The final resulting totals for all three leagues of 2017 were:
1. Dundee Sharks 145 points
2. Kingfishers Azure 143 points
3. Kingfishers Sacrets 116 points
4. Volksrust 112 points
5. Dundee Dolphins 110 points
6. Dundee Minos 39 points.
This makes Dundee Sharks the winners of the Sunday league and will go through to the League final in March. The Club competition on November 17 at Grootdraai Dam was run in conjunction with the League outing. Results were:
Seniors:
1. Louis Cromhout: 26 fish 25.745 kg 517.45 points
2. Sakkie Folscher: 9 fish 8.947 kg 179.47 points
3. Hannes Kleinhans: 11 fish 7.512 kg 185.12 points
Ladies:
1. Petro Cromhout: 20 fish 14.315 kg. 343.15 points
Juniors:
Trent Donaldson: 6 fish 5.805 kg. 118.05 points.
Thirteen anglers participated with a total of 104 fish weighing in at 90.991 kg. Sakkie won the pooled prize with the biggest muddy.
The Club competition on December 17 was fished at a private farm dam. Results were:
Seniors:
1. Pierre Duval: 4 fish 4.636 kg 86.35 points
2. Corne Barnard: 3 fish 2.253 kg 52.53 points
3. Mark Donaldson: 2 fish 1.444 kg 34.44 points
Juniors:
1. Trent Donaldson: 4 fish 3.237 kg 72.37 points
2. Nicole Duval: 1 fish 0.426 kg 14.26 points
Penkoppe:
Charlotte Duval: 2 fish 1.313 kg 33.13 points
Eight anglers participated with a total of 16 fish weighing in at 13.308 kg. Pierre Duval won the pooled prize with the heaviest bag of fish of 4,635 kg.
