First social of the year… A great success
The next social day will be on Saturday, February 3 with play to start at 2pm
This last Saturday the Club hosted it’s very first monthly social day and a very successful day at that! Twenty eight bowlers, including three visitors, were divided into pairs who then took to the sun-bathed greens on Saturday afternoon to play 2 games of 10 ends each, format of play being the Pro 10 format.
It was a sweltering summer’s day but thanks to their very own little splash pool, bowlers could take a quick dip to cool off! There’s always a winner and loser though, with the stone last going to Dougie and Bruce, 4th place Carl and Cheryl, 3rd Essie and Rob, 2nd Willie and Louisa and the winners of the day, Greg and Henning-John. Congratulations guys!
The next social day will be on Saturday, February 3 with play to start at 2pm, see you all then and don’t forget to bring a friend along.
The last round of the Kirkland Auctioneers Business League will take place on Thursday, January 25. As always, braai fires will be lit, so bring along your basket, if you’re not keen to braai, the Round Table ladies will be making hamburgers on the evening. The club looks forward to seeing you all then.
This coming weekend 11 teams from Dundee will be taking part in the zone men’s and ladies pairs in Newcastle. Safe travels to each member and good bowling!
