Winterton swimmers dived in at the Midmar Mile

A weekend of swimming was on the cards for hundreds of people, as they converged on Midmar Dam for the Midmar Mile.

The Midmar Mile, which is held annually, also doubles up as a fund-raising swim that is supported by swimmers from far and wide. Swimmers from Winterton participated in the Saturday and Sunday events.

A large group of swimmers of various ages swam for CHOC COWS in event 1.

17 learners from Winterton Primary School took part, with Maria Outram and Andre Honiball swimming three events.

It was overcast on Saturday but sunny on Sunday, and irrespective of the prevailing weather conditions, everyone enjoyed themselves.
