Dan proves he is no chicken on the green

Dan Scholtz scored 22 points to claim victory in the Chicken Run, played on February 21 over 10 holes.

Please take note that Gholf sonder Grense will take place on March 6 to 8. The entry list is at the Pro Shop and players are urged to enter.

Dave’s Competition, played on February 19 over 11 holes in the form of an IPS, was won by Gene Robson on 26 points. In second was Jeff Schär on 25 points and in third, Sifiso Kunene on 25 points counted out.

The Chicken Run played on February 21 over 10 holes, in the form of an IPS, was won by Dan Scholtz on 22 points.

Saturday’s club Competition, played in the form of an IPS, was well supported and the winners were as follows: first – Dan Scholtz (39 points), second – Kevin Donaldson (38 points), third – Henk Booysen (37 points), counted out from Veronica Donaldson. Two clubs were carded by Kallie Roets on Hole 16, Louis Albertse and Kevin Donaldson on hole 4, K.P. Smith on Hole 8 and Billy Francis on Hole 12. Abrie Pretorius scored a three on the par five Hole 2 – well done!

The President and Captain’s Day: On Saturday, February 29, a four ball better ball Stableford competition will be played at the club. This event will be sponsored by the president and the captain. Find yourself a partner and enter at the Pro Shop.

Upcoming events:
February 26 – Dave’s Competition will be played over 11 holes in the form of an IPS.

February 28 – Chicken Run will be played over 10 holes in the form of an IPS.

March 14 – Dundee Pre-Primary School Sponsored Day (four ball better ball Stableford).
