Vryheid’s late charge not enough to trump host, Sentraal Rugby Club

Action on the Dundee High School field saw Sentraal leading by 22 points to nil at half-time

Dundee’s Sentraal Rugby Club hosted the Vryheid rugby team on Saturday afternoon. The annual Shosholoza Cup, hosted by Sentraal, is a big rugby tournament in Northern KwaZulu-Natal and features teams from across the province. Due to unfortunate circumstances, some teams were unable to participate. Despite this, Sentraal and Vryheid took to the field for a friendly encounter and the match was concluded in the true spirit of the great game.
Action on the Dundee High School field saw Sentraal leading by 22 points to nil at half-time, but Vryheid attempted a late charge to bounce back.
It was not enough however, and Sentraal ran out winners 22-10.
