Teachers from schools in the district receive their rope skipping kits.

KwaZulu-Natal Gymnastics rolled out the ‘Rope Skipping in a Box’ project at Hope High School on Friday (May 28).

The box – in this case, a rope skipping kit – contains the equipment needed to kick-start gymnastics exercises at schools with very few resources. The national initiative is the result of ongoing partnership between KZN Gymnastics and the Departments of Education, and the Department of Sport and Recreation.

The launch event included demonstrations from learners of schools in the Amajuba District.
