Quality time for mothers and daughters at Cuppa
Saturday's CANSA fundraiser created the ideal opportunity for mothers and daughters to spend quality time together.

The Cuppa for Cansa hosted at Blackrock Casino on Saturday afternoon provided an opportunity for mothers and daughters to enjoy quality time together.
During the event, mother and daughter teams competed in a dance competition and party games, such as ‘musical chairs’ and ‘shoe jumble’, for a chance to win a prize.
Amid the fun and games, CANSA community mobiliser, Renitha Naidoo, reminded guests that the money raised at events, such as the Cuppa, went toward scientific research towards finding a cure for more than 300 different types of cancer. Funds are also used for awareness campaigns, and for supporting cancer patients.
Guest speaker, Miss India Northern KwaZulu-Natal 2013, Tatriksha Annathan, pledged to support the CANSA Association as a volunteer during her reign.She commended CANSA Newcastle for making a difference in the lives of cancer patients.
