A little history

This is the old abandoned railway bridge over the Magot River, west of Vryheid, the picture taken by Duncan Kelly. Built of sandstone, master masons must have put it together, but now it lies useless in the veld. Didn’t the railway line reach Vryheid in 1905, so wasn’t this bridge built a year or two before that?
