Peace begins at home.

An apt theme for this year’s 16 Days of Activism for Non-Violence Against Women and Children, seeing that we’ve all probably heard the saying that children learn what they live.

Being a living example of and teaching children that everyone deserves respect and kindness should begin at home.

16 Days of Activism is an international campaign, identified by the white ribbon, which shines a spotlight on a topic that is often concealed because of shame or silence.

The campaign began on November 25 and concludes on December 10.

Awareness, story telling and education will hopefully touch those who are in need.

Play your part during these 16 days and beyond and report incidents of abuse, not only against women and children; but the elderly, disabled, animals as well as yourself!

At Caxton, every story is written by humans. We use AI only to perform quality checks - never to generate the news. Happy reading!
