Where have the names gone?

Driving through Newcastle, it is easy to see why so many choose to return and settle down here.

We have a beautiful and (mostly) peaceful town! Yet, something strange is happening here…street name signs have begun disappearing.

Now, there are two immediate questions that come to mind:

1. Why would anyone want to steal a street name sign?

2. How much is the ratepayer going to have to fork out to get them replaced?

Needless to say, missing street names could potentially have a devastating and frustrating impact on the community. From police services, to paramedics and more, missing street signs could slow down response time.
