Drugs a problem for us all

When last did you make your children undergo a drug use test?

When a town the size of Ladysmith needs to hold a workshop about drugs and to help families cope with having an addict in the family… Well, then all illusions we, as parents, have that drugs are not easily available in this town are gone!

I am going to ask YOU (yes, you – the person reading this article) one question: When last did you make your children undergo a drug use test?

If they are teenagers, the simple question I have is: Are you just going to wait for someone else to tell you or are you going to do it yourself?

While I am not an advocate of ‘police parenting’, I am a firm believer in keeping an eye on what’s going on.

Peer pressure is a powerful tool in any drug peddler’s arsenal.

If you knew how many people are addicted to not just mainstream drugs, but alcohol as well, you would understand the importance of not just open communication between you and your children, but the power of simply testing your child regularly.

Test kits are readily available at most pharmacies.
