Newcastle airport will once again play host to the Newcastle Airshow as it comes to town for the fourth time on May 31.

The hype around the event is high, and organisers promise the show will be the biggest of the KwaZulu-Natal Winter Air Tour.

Some of the planes which will be taking to the skies above Newcastle include Slick 540, Bell 222, Impala, MX2, L39, Harvards, Pitts, the Parachute Jumpers, and the highlight of the event, a Boeing 737.

A ‘helicopter flip’ is being offered to residents who feel up to the task when they attend the event.

Exciting competitions and give-aways will also be on offer during the event, including free ‘helicopter flips’ and a grand prize to one lucky guest.

Food stalls, car exhibitors and more will be on show throughout the day.
