It is 5.30am on a Dundee morn. The air crisp, the grass white.  Minus 2?  Probably.  Your six-year-old is up already.  That’s strange.  Ah, but of course it is school holidays.  Normally the child only surfaces at 6.09am with a huge amount of coaxing.  A rush for breakfast, cleaning teeth, getting dressed then rushing to the bus stop by 6.35am.

But on a holiday morning he is all go.  Who writes this script? Sadly in our area there is much for the kids to do during the holidays. IN past years the library use to hold an impressive holiday programme. But with the onslaught of DVS, Playstations and cellphones, I guess it is a case of entertaining yourself.

But at 5.30am?
