Will you be walking the distance for CANSA?

“CANSA RFL is a night event where we celebrate those who survived, remember those who died and pray for those who are still fighting cancer,”

Set to take place on October 11, CANSA Relay For Life (RFL) is CANSA’s biggest fund raiser.

According to RFL chairperson,Mona Maharaj, RFL is an experience that signifies the importance of giving hope to those battling cancer and to show the fight against cancer will not subside until a cure is found.

“CANSA RFL is a night event where we celebrate those who survived, remember those who died and pray for those who are still fighting cancer,” she said.

Mrs Maharaj encouraged the community to register for the 12-hour walk.

“Cancer survivors should register by September 15 and people wanting to sign up teams can sign up now.”

All funds raised will go towards research to find a cure for cancer, as well as community projects run by CANSA.

The theme for RFL this year is Superheroes to show everyone can be a hero by supporting the initiative.

To become involved in RFL, Mrs Maharaj can be contacted on 073 756 2480 or 034 312 4362.
