Great day outdoors at Lions Music Festival

The appetite-arousing aroma of cooking food had festival goers rushing to the various food stalls while enjoying the live music

It was a day of fun, warm weather, great food and excellent entertainment at the Lions Music Festival, which took place at Lions Park on Saturday.

The appetite-arousing aroma of cooking food, including curry and rice, had festival goers rushing to the various food stalls while enjoying the live music and relaxing the afternoon away.

There was plenty on offer for the younger ones, who used the warm weather to their advantage and entertained themselves by making full use of the water slide that was set up.

The programme included many musicians, including a marimba band, as well as a lucky draw later in the afternoon.

Socialising was the order of the day, with friends and families using the opportunity to spend time together against the backdrop of great local musical talent.

Lions Club president Paddy Barnado said he was happy with the outcome of the event. “There was a festive atmosphere and it was a lovely day,” he said.

The musical merry-making continued into the late afternoon, making for a fun-filled day indeed!
