TECH: Nerd heroes – where are they now?
What happened to the icons of yesterday's nerd culture? Read here and be amazed.

Man’s desire has long been immortality.
Although this ideal has never been attained, some have come close by bringing heroes and icons to life.
Often, however, the character outlives the fame.
Whatever happened to these actors though? You might be surprised where they ended up:
Mark Hamill
After bringing order to the Star Wars universe as Luke Skywalker, Hamill continued his career as an actor and voice actor. He has most notably voiced the Joker in a number of films, games and series.
William Shatner
The square-jawed Captain Kirk became a legal eagle in The Practice and Boston Legal. Music, documentaries and blogs; Bill remains an acclaimed presence in modern media.
Richard Dean Anderson
For seven years, he combined duct tape and batteries (or something similar) as Angus MacGyver. Anderson also featured in Stargate SG-1, as actor and producer, taking on various roles since then.
Jan-Michael Vincent
The buff actor behind Stringfellow ‘String’ Hawke found lesser success after the Airwolf franchise, mostly making headlines for his battles with alcoholism, drug use and tax debt.
David Hasselhoff
Success as Michael Knight, alongside sleek TransAm KITT, propelled Hasselhoff to acclaim in Baywatch. His booze woes hopefully aside, he is a feature in acting, singing, producing and business.
Harrison Ford
Indiana Jones, Han Solo, Jack Ryan – Ford has cemented his position as a screen hero. Philanthropist and actor, most welcome is news he will reprise his Rick Deckard role in a sequel to Blade Runner.
