Since establishing his security company three years ago, it is believed the crime rate in Paradise has dropped with an outstanding 98 per cent. Residents in the area feeling safer under the watchful eye of Mark and his dedicated team from Two Eagles Neighbourhood Watch .

“This is not only my job, but my passion. I love what I do. Knowing since we have been around our streets have become a safer place, is my greatest reward,” he proudly said.

Former police officer Mark jumped at the opportunity to start a neighbourhood watch as he could not sit back and watch his neighbourhood succumb to the misfortunes of criminal activities.

“I was approached by a close friend, Yusuf Dodda, who informed me about the crime problems Paradise faced. Crimes such as robberies and murder were just some of the worst at the time. The ‘blue blood’ kicked in and I felt compelled to do something about it,” he explained.

Thus began the start of the trusted Neighbourhood Watch. June 1 marks the third year Mark has successfully kept crime in his area at an all time low.

He wants to expand his business into the Lennoxton area as he already has a small client base there.

“Crime is becoming a bit of a problem there, and if I can get more people on board I can have a fully operational neighbourhood watch there and help them to bring down their crime rate as well.”

Mark explained by being a part of a neighbourhood watch, residents felt safer. They were not afraid of leaving their homes because they knew there was someone keeping an eye on things in their absence.
