NEWCASTLE – All rugby fans will remember what occurred exactly a year ago today. You guessed it; preparations for the Rugby World Cup were in full swing.

The town was painted green and gold in support of the Springboks. The atmosphere was as electrifying as watching a live match in England.
Do you remember Louis van Niekerk? The guy who resprayed his 1974 VW Beetle green and gold, waved the Springbok flag high and encouraged other South Africans to support the Bokke.
