NEWCASTLE – Pupils from Jenny Devenish School of Ballet received excellent results for their Dance Academy of South Africa Ballet exams held on September 13.

The examiner, Mrs Colleen Boote, from Pietermaritzburg examined children from Volksrust, Newcastle and Dundee in grade syllabi and medal dances.

The results were as follows:

Grade 4

– Dané Gouws Merit

– Aldert Brink Distinction

Grade 6

– Megan Morgenrood Merit

– Jade Pienaar Distinction

– Abigail van Niekerk Distinction

Taryn Harry passed Advanced 1 and Ewaldi Fick passed Advanced 2 at the Dance Academy of South Africa Major Examinations, which were held in Pretoria, on Saturday, September 17.
