Navaratri prayers conclude blissfully at SCATS

The day was dedicated to the divine mother, Saraswathie, who is believed to be the goddess of knowledge.

NEWCASTLE – The annual Navaratri Prayers concluded successfully after nine days of diligent worship.

The Sat-Chi-Ananda Temple of Society (SCATS) held its Navaratri Prayers on Saturday, October 8.

The day was dedicated to the divine mother, Saraswathie, who is believed to be the goddess of knowledge.

Temple priest, Avikar Singh encouraged all children who were attending school in completion of their basic education to take part in the devotion of the divine mother, Sarawathie.

Rajendra Jaggernath committee member of SCATS, referred to this holy period as a time to become one with the divine mother as praise and worship is offered.

Daily Abishaikum and the following pujas were observed:

– Bandhi puja and Durga Saptasati recitals

– Saraswathi puja for students

– Bheek and Mother’s Yatra

– Kanya Puja

– Agni Hotra

– Vishay Dasmi

– 108 petal offerings daily.
