Bombay Vikings to rock Bollywood extravaganza

The night’s magic will see international singer, performer and music director Neeraj Shridhar of Bombay Vikings at the event

The time has come for Bollywood enthusiasts to get ready for a party of note.

Come December 3, DREAMZ24 will host a Bollywood concert dubbed ‘Mumbai Magic’. The night’s magic will see international singer, performer and music director Neeraj Shridhar of Bombay Vikings at the event. He will be joined by all eight members of his band, including a female lead singer.

To ensure that Bollywood fans are kept captivated to the end, Zee TV’s Dance India Dance (Season 5) star Kaushik Mondal will also be performing at the event.

Karou Charou will be adding his spicy brand of humour to ensure that guests are kept laughing throughout the show.

Roshni Naicker, co-founder of DREAMZ24, explained that Mumbai Magic would be the first Bollywood show to be held in Newcastle in over 20 years. “My husband Nash, my daughters and I often travel to Durban to attend Bollywood shows, where we usually mingle with the stars. On returning, we share our experiences with our friends and family, some of whom have said they would probably never have a dream like that come true.”

This realization brought Roshni and Nash to the decision of bringing a Bollywood show home and as a result, they created an events management and show promotion company called DREAMZ24.

Affording the community the opportunity to experience Bollywood entertainment at its finest, Roshni said that if the event proved to be a success, DREAMZ24 would ensure that another amazing show would take place next year again.

The community have a lot to look forward to – there is a chance for local dancers to share the limelight with the stars. “A choreography team from the Bollywood film industry will be arriving in Newcastle to train our local dance enthusiasts so they may shine like the stars they are, on this international platform, which is an opportunity not to be missed,” said Roshni.

DREAMZ24 has opened auditions to energetic and vibrant dancers who are willing to put in several hours of training before performing on stage with these international icons.

Male and female dancers interested in sharing the stage with Kaushik Mondal and Bombay Vikings can email a two-minute video clip of themselves dancing to popular song ‘Lovely Ho Gai’ for females and ‘Kala Chashma’ for males, as part of the auditioning process. The video clip, together with contact details, can be emailed to info@dreamz24.com.  The Bollywood choreographers will screen and shortlist the dancers. Successful candidates will be notified shortly thereafter.

The show will take place at Newcastle Show Hall and doors will open at 5pm, with the show set to start at 6.30pm. Ticket sales is now open and tickets can be purchased at East Link and AK’s Grocer.
