In Brazil it is considered bad luck to let your wallet or purse hit the floor, as it is believed this means you will lose money. Considering there is a chance money may fall out of your wallet or someone might snatch your purse when it falls, this might not be a bad superstition to have.

In Lithuania, whistling indoors is a big no-no. It is believed that whistling indoors will summon little demons who will then terrorise you.

 

3. Women should not eat goat meat in Rwanda

In the United States, especially in Vermont, many 19th century farmhouses were built with slanted windows, which were known as witch windows. They were built slanted due to a belief that witches could not fly their brooms into a tilted opening.

In Nigeria, it is considered bad luck to kiss a baby on the lips. This superstition states that if you do, the infant will grow into an adult who drools.
