Everyone loves a good series, weather it’s the gruesome kind or a sloppy love tale.

Gone are the days where people would resort to watching a DVD or even basic TV; now it’s all about live streaming and series download links.

The best part of a good series is that often you get whisked away in the story, and for a while it feels as though you have become a part of that world.

We have compiled a list of the top 10 series we think you would enjoy binge watching during the December holidays:

1. Black Mirror:

Charlie Brooker’s TV series has viewers caught up in the dark technological science fiction at its best. Featuring stand-alone dramas, sharp, suspenseful, satirical tales that explore techno-paranoia.

Black Mirror is a contemporary reworking of “The Twilight Zone” with stories that tap into the collective unease about the modern world. Each story features its own cast of unique characters.

2. iZombie

iZombie happens to be the best zombie show on television right now. This ongoing mystery series will draw you in, and ten-to-one make you feel like you have become a couch potato. Believe me, you do not want to miss this show!

3. Super Girl

Supergirl is an American superhero action-adventure drama television series, and portrays girl power in its ultimate form. It’s full of adrenaline-pumping action, and will leave you wanting more.

4. Greys Anatomy
This is one of my all time favourites. This series is 13 seasons full of comedy, nail biting action, love, drama and a whole lot of tears.

It captures the daily lives and struggles of aspiring world-class surgeons, and promises to have viewers at the edge of their seats.

P.S: Make sure to keep a box of tissues with you throughout the series.

5. Orange is the New Black

Oh yeah! For those brave enough to embrace the story, you will definitely not be left disappointed. This four season series has captured the hearts and imagination of millions of viewers, and with good reason.

Viewers have a front row seat of the lives of female inmates, and the daily struggles they face to stay alive and make it through their days.

6. Shameless

Yet another series that is not for the faint of heart. This series follows the life of the troubled Gallagher family, and is true ‘trailer trash’ at its best. Yet, somehow despite the vulgar language and twisted tales, it’s probably one of the most addictive series out there.

7. White Collar

For all those CSI fans, this series will definitely capture your attention. Watch what happens when a world class con artist joins forces with top FBI agents to combat crime. It’s action packed at its best, as each episode brings with it a new tale and mystery.

8. Quantico

Adrenaline and action in its true form is portrayed in this thrilling drama. It explores the lives of young government agents as they go through training to become the best special agents they can be and beyond.

Each recruit has been thoroughly vetted, but each one possesses secrets, including hidden reasons for enlisting. One recruit ends up being suspected of masterminding the biggest and most deadly attack on U.S. soil since 9/11, and must fight to clear her name.

9. Super Natural

What is series binge watching without the tasty Dean Winchester and his brother Sam, demons, ghosts and all things supernatural?

This series will have anyone feeling like they are captured in a mystical world filled with excitement and nail-biting action.
Don’t be fooled by the darkness of this series, as it offers a whole lot more than chasing monsters.

Comedy, quirk and romance is also brought to the table.

And lets not forget the most obvious reason why we love Supernatural:

10. Witches of East End

The mysterious Beauchamp family lives in the secluded seaside town of East End. Free-spirited artist Joanna Beauchamp is the mother of wild-child bartender Freya and shy librarian Ingrid, who are both gifted and cursed with a magic birthright, of which they are unaware.

Freya notices bizarre occurrences in her life when she inexplicably finds herself drawn to the troubled brother of her wealthy fiancé.

But it isn’t until Joanna’s estranged sister appears with a warning that could change the family’s fate that the matriarch must reveal to her daughters that they are immortal witches with untapped powers, a revelation that turns their small-town life upside down.
