A time of giving at Child Welfare

THE Mooiplaas Crèche children enjoyed their Christmas Party and Graduation on Wednesday, December 7.

They were treated to Hotdogs, awesome Christmas cupcakes, sweets, cool drinks as well as love boxes supplied by St Thomas More College, Durban.

Child Welfare would like to thank Wayne Bissett and his staff from Siyaxhasana, as well as their Chairlady, Mrs. Heather Gibbons, who assisted with the party.

A thank you to Nellie Mchunu, the faithful teacher at the crèche. Nellie is a special person who not only brings joy to the children but also serves the whole community. The children, who were graduating and taking on big school next year, were handed out certificates.

A time of joyful giving and sharing is what took place during these past weeks at Child Welfare as, through all their sponsors, they were able to host Christmas Parties in Enyathi, Mbilane, Sikhame, Vryheid and Geluckstad.

The children attending these parties were spoilt with awesome Santa Shoebox Project presents, cakes, chips, sweet and refreshments.

These parties were made possible largely by many of their sponsors and volunteers as well as by the Santa Shoebox Project, of which the presents donated, proved to be such an amazing blessing for the children.

Child Welfare has been blessed with an abundance of donations which has enabled them to bring a special and extremely meaningful Christmas to hundreds of children in Vryheid, Gluckstad, Enyathi, Mbilane, Sikame, Vryheid Hospital and their foster children in Vryheid, including many children from needy homes.

A special thank you to all our donors for their kindness and generous spirit towards those in need. Child Welfare would like to wish the Vryheid community a very blessed Christmas and New Year.
