Expect fun, but keep those thinking caps on.

Top prizes include holiday packages and more for the winning teams, plus bonus prizes for teams with tremendous spirit and funky uniforms.

Entries into the race close on February 24.

“It costs R500 per team – last year, we sadly had to turn away some teams because they entered too late!” explained Johann Marais of the Rapportryers, the organisation behind the race.

If you’re game for some entertainment but not quite the type for the race, Majuba Lodge will still play host to a number of awesome activities.

Local beauties can vie for the title of Miss Lekker Race.

Stage performances and cultural entertainers will keep you moving, or get active with archery, paintball and karaoke.

Visit Dirkie’s fun farm and hang out with the awesome animals.

Food and curio stalls will cater to your every whim, and if you are feeling thirsty, drop by the Rapportryers beer tent for a drink.

Another exciting addition this year is the school fun competition.

Primary school staff and pupils will compete for top honours, in disciplines such as catty shooting, paintball, marbles, towel-runs, archery and more.

Finally, the huge inflatables are back to keep the young ones entertained.
