Any drink mixed with a bit of with alcohol can make an occasion a bit more enjoyable. Valentine’s Day is no different. So, to get you in the mood for a little romance and passion, we have come up with a list of the Top 5 cocktails to get any heart racing on Valentine’s Day.
All recipes can be altered to suit your pocket and your tastes, at your discretion. Quantities of each ingredient are also something you can play around with, depending how in love you hope to get.
Lay Me Down
- Frozen limeade
- Vodka
- 2 bottles beer
Directions
Combine limeade and vodka in a punch bowl and stir. Add the beer and ladle into glasses. You could also rim the glass with salt, garnish with a wedge of lime and toss in some ice cubes.
The Kiss on the Lips
- Peach schnapps
- Frozen mango mix, (you could freeze actual mangoes, or freeze some mango juice concentrate)
- Grenadine
- Crushed ice
Directions
Put the peach schnapps, frozen mango and crushed ice into a blender and blend in spurts until smooth. Pour the grenadine into the bottom of a cocktail glass and then pour the blended mixture in over the top of it. Garnish with a pineapple slice and cherry.
The Love Bite
- Cherry liqueur
- Orange liqueur
- Cream (You could use cream or Amarula)
Directions
Pour the cherry liqueur into a cocktail glass (not a shot glass). Layer the orange liqueur next, and top it with a layer of cream.
Dirty banana
- Banana Liqueur
- Cream
- Kahlúa
- Milk
- A slice of Banana
Directions
Mixed all the ingredients together and garnish with the slice of banana.
Love on the beach
- Archers Peach Schnapps
- Smirnoff Vodka
- Orange Juice
- Cranberry Juice
Directions
Mix all the ingredients together, add some ice cubes, throw in some cherries, and poke a piece of any fruit on the side of the glass.
