Blackrock Casino hosts Taiwanese and Chinese New Year celebrations
“It was thrilling to once again play host to the Taiwanese and Chinese New Year celebration."
Blackrock Casino, in partnership with the Newcastle Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce and the Newcastle Chinese Chamber of Commerce, hosted the annual Taiwanese and Chinese New Year celebrations at Blackrock Casino.
The celebration was aimed at commemorating the beginning of the lunar New Year. Guests in attendance were treated to authentic Chinese cuisine that was catered by the Ruyi Chinese Restaurant. In attendance were some of Newcastle’s top dignitaries from the Taiwanese and Chinese communities.
What’s a New Year celebration without entertainment? At both events traditional and modern dancers entertained the crowd setting the tone for a night of celebration.
“It was thrilling to once again play host to the Taiwanese and Chinese New Year celebration. After the resounding success we have seen in past events, it was only fitting to once again host and celebrate this momentous day with our Taiwanese and Chinese guests, as well as local residents. We have a diverse community in Newcastle that constantly shows support to Blackrock and the events that we host.” says Candice Chetty, Blackrock Casino Marketing Manager.
The next event to diarise is the Mid City Grill Valentine’s Day Dinner, on Tuesday, 14 February. Local residents and casino goers can look forward to more promotions and events taking place at Blackrock Casino in 2017.
