“O loving children of God, the Lord’s appearance has taught us that there is a difference between the path of devotion and the path of austerities. While on the path of devotion, we are able to experience the greatness of others’ love and realise the lack of our own, and this makes us humble. Humility is conducive for spiritual growth.
While on the path of austerity, we are crippled by our own feeling of greatness and achievement, so we lose focus by basking in self glory.
